In this presentation, Western Carolina University will discuss how the University developed a preferred name policy and how campus teams worked together to implement the use of the Banner 9 General Profile Self-Service page. Banner 9 Self-Service allows customized name formatting from module to module or page to page. WCU has used this feature to implement preferred name display on applicable pages. WCU also modified some Banner 8 pages, such as class rosters and advisee lists, to comply with University policy.
