This session will provide an overview and demonstration of the UNC System State Grant Interface. This customized interface supports state grant processing between the NC State Grants Portal and Banner Financial Aid. The interface automates grant processing by providing the ability to:
• Upload a grant file and store the data within the Banner database
• Match the uploaded records with existing data within the administrative system
• Perform edit checks on the data for continued eligibility
• Provide a means to review failed edit checks and the ability to rerun the edit checks and update the student's status
• Post potential awards
• Send term certification files
• Identify discrepancies between the NC State Grants Portal award amounts and the amounts either accepted or paid in Banner
• Produce an enrollment file containing information on FAFSA filers who are enrolled for a specific term
• Securely transmit files via SFTP
